SchoolWorld CSR Convergence

Section 135 of the Companies Act is a progressive piece of legislation that encourages Corporate India to participate in the nation’s development through CSR provisions enshrined in the Act. There have been heart- warming stories of CSR convergence in many areas of the country, benefitting the needy and the deserving, cutting across various sectors.
SchoolWorld Resource Centre seeks to harness the vitality of Corporate Social Responsibility provisions and engage with Corporate India, State Governments and also the Civil Society Organisations towards implementation of CSR projects on primary, secondary and higher education in India. This initiative prioritises such projects in the north eastern region of India. From conceiving viable and need based project ideas; engaging with businesses, banks and PSUs; to facilitating collaborations with right partners for CSR delivery; coordination for monitoring and evaluation – the Centre proposes a synergetic and outcome based CSR framework.
